Billboard Battalion is in Warracknabeal, one of Victoria’s grain producing belts where we are interviewing Ross Johns.
Billboard Battalion came to Warracknabeal for a meeting last night where very concerned farmers and community members held one of the regular public meetings whereby they are fighting back against the massive wind turbines and the attacks on their farmland and community by Multi National Corporates and State & Federal Governments.
Ross Johns is very involved in the community fight back to protect their region, their farmers and food production.
Ross highlighted to us one of the groups that has been set up which is the Wimmera Mallee Environmental & Agricultural Protection Association.
This is where we are seeing communities draw a line in the sand and push back against disastrous Government policies that are destroying farmers just like the newly introduced Emergency Services Volunteer Fund.
STOP THE GOVERNMENTS WAR ON FARMERS.
This so call Fund is actually a great big new tax that is designed to send more farmers bankrupt and forced off the land and more home owners and business owners unable to afford to keep their properties.
This was a very informative interview at the Shell Roadhouse at the corner of the Henty Highway & Kelsall Street on a very cold windy day In Warracknabeal.
As more farmers and community members are becoming aware of disastrous Government policy, we will see the numbers of community members who are pushing back increase.
